Why I Am Not a Simple Micellar Cleansing Water Fan

I admit it, I am bad about washing my face at night when I wear makeup. By the time I go to bed, I am too lazy to struggle with it and then wash my face again. So I was hoping to find those cleansing waters that Europe made to be all of the craze. Well, I did find one at Target (Simple Micellar Cleansing Water)  and I figure, why not try it?

I had high hopes since it sounded fancy and looked kind of slick like oil. I personally enjoy Target's grapefruit make up wipes or Clean and Clear's eye maker remover. They work well with removing it and doing it well enough for my skin to look clean. I was hoping this would do the same while making my skin feel clean without needing to splash water on it to make my face not feel sticky. It seemed to hopefully be the answer to that burning (and possibly zit-ty) issue.

Well.....I can see why you do not hear much hype about the product  Simple Micellar Cleansing Water.

How can I put this nicely? It does not work very well. Sure, it fades the makeup or may remove some eye makeup like eye shadows. But it doesn't remove face makeup well nor does it remove things like eyeliner. That is very frustrating as I have enough issues removing makeup and the more the pre-cleanse can remove the better for me.  Things like makeup removal wipes or the Clean & Clear work about a 1000 times better than this mild product. It seems that it is just not strong enough to strip the product away. It is more of a tool to keep your skin soft or to remove swatches on your hand, than a legit be what they market it as.
